STRUT VCU Model Auditions

Beginning in 2005, STRUT VCU has offered a show that brings both fashion and entertainment to the Richmond community. That’s why we are so excited about being a media sponsor for this year’s event. We got some film footage, photos, and interviewed models for this year’s auditions.

Bolaji Oyegunle a.k.a Bo, student at VCU, just started a new promotional company with his partner, Dream Big Promotions.  He and his team wanted to put together an event for his birthday and their company’s launch. They did not disappoint!

Their goal is to bring the nightlife in NYC & DC to Richmond, and have a “Outside The Box” mentality when it comes to producing events.

Walking into the event, you noticed the red carpet. Wow! This was the first red carpet event I’ve been to since I’ve been in Richmond. Once you’ve walked up the initial flight of stairs, you were greeted by the birthday boy himself, and had the opportunity to take a picture.

It was a nice crowd, well dressed, diverse, and social. The DJ did his thing as well. He kept the party moving into well the night.

Helena -

“What were your first impressions of Bolaji?”

He was a cool guy. Outgoing, socialable, fun, and loves to party!

What did you like about the event?

The music was hot, classy environment, good setting.

Would you come to future events hosted by Dream Big Promotions?

Yes, most definitely! I’m going to tell all my friends about their next event.

Jackob -

“What were your first impressions of Bolaji?”

I met him through a friend, and then we become cool. He’s a cool guy. A good guy to know.

What are your thoughts about the event?

He’s doing it big! The red carpet really impressed me.

Would you come to future events hosted by Dream Big Promotions?

Yes! This is something different in the area. Richmond needs this type of nightlife.
